It’s was a day
of surprise, amazement and consternation last Saturday when crowd believed to
be members of the SIA faction of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC),
Ogun State joined multitude of other Akinlade supporters in Ayetoro, Yewa North
LG of the State to declare their support for the member of the House of
Representative (Yewa South/Ipokia); Hon. Abiodun Akinlade.
The visit
which was meant to be a familiarization meeting of the lawmaker with APC
members who defected with him to the Labour party turned out to witness many of
Amosun’s loyalists expressing their delight in Akinlade’s doggedness and
sagacity towards the emancipation of the people of Yewa-Awori and they promise
to join him and work with him in his gubernatorial ambition.
Hon. Akinlade,
the Chairman; House of Rep. Committee Science & Technology tangled the
soaring yearn for change in government to the “geometric increase in the
marginalization of perceived opposition, people of Ogun West and
truth-gospellers in the present of the day government, sporadic increase in
looting of treasury and unprecedented decline in provision of human-faceted
kind of governance”. He also assures the people that better days are ahead. He
harped on the 6 lane express construction going on in the area by discarding it
as a “cheer waste”.
A leader of
the group, Hon. Eniolawun a former councilor under UPN while commending the
achievement of Hon. Akinlade in his Constituency says there is no better time
to associate with “an achiever” like Akinlade than now.
