Ritualist Arrested with Human Parts in Ibadan! [PICTURE]

A suspected ritualist was on Tuesday arrested near the High Court in Ring Road, Ibadan with items believed to be three human tongues. The arrest came days after a den that doubled as the slaughterhouse of kidnappers was uncovered around Soka area of the Oyo State capital.

The suspect had been living at the side of the newly constructed bridge at the Oni and Sons Bus Stop. Many assumed he was mentally unstable but a few residents noted that he usually had new plastic bags of major eateries around; an indication that he was probably getting food supplies on a regular basis. Though some people had spoken of his movements being suspicious, no one confronted him until Tuesday.

After a thorough search that also yielded items believed to be human intestines as well as hands and legs was conducted on his hideout, he was taken to the police station in Oluyole Estate. The parts were believed to have been stuffed in a hole by the suspect.

The spokesperson of the Oyo State Police Command, Bisi Iloabanafor however stated that the man arrested was a destitute and that it would take forensic examinations to determine whether the items recovered from him are human tongues or not. She also pointed out that the suspect has been taken to the state Criminal Investigation Department for further interrogation.
