Tragedy struck
in Ejigbo LCDA over the weekend when a man identified as Soji Alayinla, a
member of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ilamose ward of Ejigbo, Lagos was
allegedly attacked by thugs during a council meeting.
Information reaching
shybellmediaonline.blogspot.com has it that, on Sunday, April 6, 2014, Alayinla
was roughly cut with machetes by thugs for refusing to allow them gain access
to the congress venue with fake materials to manipulate voting results.
Source also
alleged that the thugs acted on the instruction of a council chairman. However,
Alayinla was left to fight for survival after wrecked cuts were left on him.
Suspects have
been arrested and are being detained at the Ejigbo police station.
The victim was
rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
