A Customary Court sitting in Delta State has dissolved the 29 years old marriage of the former Minister of Science and Technology, Mrs. Grace Ekpiwhre and her hubby, Chief Peter Ekpiwhre.
Mrs. Ekpiwhre, who served as Minister of State for Works and Housing and subsequently, Science and Technology during the administration of the late President Umaru Yar’Adua, filed the dissolution notice.
The former minister dragged her former husband before a Customary Court sitting in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area over what she termed “love lost” between the couple.
President of the Customary Court, Mrs. Stella Okah while making her pronouncement said that she was dissolving the marriage because of “love lost” between the couple, as the former minister was no longer interested in the 29 years old marriage that produced a daughter.
Okah, flanked by other members of the court, ordered the family of the estranged wife to refund the sum of N120, 000 dowry to her former husband’s family through the registry department of the court.

  1. After 29years and one daughter they suddenly realise they don't love each other? So what? Can't they tolerate each other as they've been doing for their remaining years? Why the Public embarrassment? Will they both look for or have they found other partners?
They say there's no fool like an old fool....
