Leading retail
bank, Diamond Bank Plc, has announced plans to host a special event titled
Afternoon Tea with Diamond Woman as part of activities to launch its Diamond
Woman proposition.
The event
scheduled to hold at the Civic Centre on Sunday, 29 June 2014 will feature
discussions around areas that matter to women who are leading lights in their
various fields of endeavour in the country.
Speaking on
the event, Divisional Head, Corporate Communications, Diamond Bank Plc, Mrs.
Ayona Trimnell said, “Afternoon Tea with Diamond Woman is a special event put
together by the bank to highlight real issues that affect the girl child and
women in Nigeria such as Domestic Abuse, HIV, Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF),
Education, Mental Health and Depression, will be discussed.
Diamond Woman
is an online community specifically facilitated by Diamond Bank to cater to the
lifestyle needs of women by offering a host of financial, lifestyle and
business advisory services. The website, www.diamondwoman.com.ng is an
interactive forum where women from all walks of life within and outside Nigeria
can learn and start conversations on issues that are important to them.
Commenting on
the rationale for the Diamond Woman Proposition, Mrs. Trimnell said, “The
decision to provide a suite of services specifically tailored to women was not
a difficult one for us at Diamond Bank as our service delivery approach takes
into cognizance the unique features of our customers and thus seeks to provide
tailored services to them. With the Diamond Woman proposition, women worldwide
now have an avenue to be empowered to achieve their goals.”
By signing up
to the Diamond Woman proposition, women have an opportunity for unique and
preferential benefits including 3 months free banking on DiamondXclusive or
Diamond Aspire accounts. This means that women pay zero charges on their
accounts for the first 3 months. They also get free access to Diamond
BusinessXpress seminars for all women entrepreneurs who have a Diamond
BusinessXpress account (DBXA) as well as discounted interest rates on credit
card repayments for every woman who obtains a Diamond Credit Card amongst a
host of perks.
