"Its so obvious that Senator Ibikunle Amosun, is losing sleep over the defeat suffered by Governor Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the June 21 gubernatorial election in Ekiti State".  Immediate past governor of Ogun State, Chief Gbenga Daniel revealed.
He said this in Odogbolu Local Government Area of the state, on Sunday, adding that some gestures embarked upon by Amosun since the loss of Ekiti State by APC were an indication that he (Amosun) was jittery over what the outcome of the 2015 elections would look like.

Daniel alleged that the recent payment of severance allowance to former political office holders in the state between 2007 and 2011 was discriminatory and political.

“Within a period of about six months that we took over, everything was paid. We didn’t discriminate in the payment of severance allowances. But we now discovered that following the outcome of the Ekiti election, fear gripped them and they now said they are ready to pay severance allowance.

“When they wanted to pay it, I learnt that they paid only over 100 out of over 300 people; they are waiting for others to come and beg before their severance allowances would be paid. It is a must for them to pay. If they fail to pay, don’t worry, they have eight months to leave power,” he said.

He appealed to the over 200 ex-political office holders yet to receive their allowances to remain calm, assuring that the Labour Party (LP) government, when voted to power, would pay them.
